Help shape the quality of Informatica
Informatica is seeking regular reviewers to join our reviewer community and support high-quality, innovative scientific contributions in computer science and informatics. Peer review is central to the journal’s quality and integrity, and we value reviewers who provide timely, constructive, and technically grounded feedback.
Who we are looking for
We welcome reviewers with expertise in areas aligned with the journal’s scope, including (but not limited to):
- artificial intelligence and intelligent systems (incl. machine learning),
- software engineering and information systems,
- data management and information retrieval,
- networks, communications, distributed systems, IoT and cyber-physical applications,
- security and trustworthy computing,
- human- and cognition-related computing.
Reviewer expectations
As a reviewer, you will be expected to:
- respond promptly to review invitations (accept/decline),
- deliver objective, evidence-based reviews by the agreed deadline,
- follow confidentiality requirements and declare conflicts of interest,
- provide constructive feedback that helps authors improve their work.

Benefits and recognition
Regular reviewers receive:
- early access to new research submitted to the journal,
- an Informatica Reviewer Recognition Certificate upon request,
- eligibility for a discount on the Ultra-Fast (UF) processing service fee when submitting their own work (based on documented reviewer activity).
Reviewer activity does not influence editorial decisions on a reviewer’s own submissions. All manuscripts are evaluated under the same editorial standards.
How to join
To join as a reviewer, please email fast-track-editor@informatica.si with:
- your full name and affiliation,
- your academic title (optional),
- your institutional email (preferred),
- a short expertise description and keywords,
- a link to your publication list or profile (e.g., DBLP, Google Scholar, ORCID),
- your reviewing interests (topics) and any topics you prefer to avoid.
We will respond with next steps and add you to the reviewer pool if there is a match with journal needs.
