Open Access & Licensing

Open access

Informatica provides immediate open access to all content published in the online edition: articles are freely available to read and download upon publication, with no embargo.

Open access type

In practice, this corresponds to Gold Open Access: the journal makes the version of record openly available online and publishes articles with a Creative Commons license.

License

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 (CC BY 3.0) license.

Under CC BY 3.0, you are free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
for any purpose, including commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and changes (if any) are indicated.

Copyright and author rights

Informatica’s policy is that authors remain the owners of their work and may disseminate it widely (e.g., personal/institutional websites and scholarly networks), provided the original publication in Informatica is properly cited.

Self-archiving and sharing (repositories, personal pages)

Authors may deposit and share:

  • the preprint,
  • the accepted manuscript, and
  • the published version (Version of Record)
as long as they provide proper citation to the journal and (where available) include the DOI/link to the published article.

Third-party material

If an article contains material (e.g., figures, images, datasets) for which the authors do not hold rights, that material may be excluded from the Creative Commons license. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions where required and providing appropriate credit lines.

APC & Fees

Open access is provided for all published articles. Details: APC & Fees.
